Stewardship – As people, we have many things entrusted to us. Individually we have jobs, wealth, our souls, ministries/vocations, children, and households. As a community we have our city, church, parks and landmarks. As a part of humanity we have a global environment. At Holy Apostles we are always striving to become better stewards of what we have.
Food Pantry – Holy Apostles collects food weekly for local food pantries. Please bring one canned food item each Sunday to leave in the collection bin in the fellowship room. If everyone brings one can food or other item every Sunday we will be able to significantly help a local food pantry and eventually start our own. See Christine (Tabitha) Hightower for more information regarding this ministry.
The Environment – We are always looking for way we can be better stewards of the creation which we have been entrusted. the church periodically has cleanup days. You can find ways we are caring for our environment on the Church Calendar in the sidebar.
Community Garden – Holy Apostles Orthodox Mission has entered into a collaboration with HOTEL INC in order to provide fresh produce to HOTEL INC’s Manna Mart food pantry as well as the Community Farmers Market Refugee CSA program. 1/4 acre of land will be cultivated and donated to both recipients. For more information please go to the Food for All Community Garden blog. If you are interested in signing up to volunteer to work in the garden, please do so through the HOTEL INC volunteer site and select “community garden.”
